I have been obsessed with honeybees since helping a beekeeper retrieve a swarm from a neighbor’s tree when I was around six years old. Since then I’d climb up in trees and observe bees coming and going from their hives for hours. With the purchase of land a few years ago I’ve taken the next step – actually keeping bees. Hopefully this site will help inspire you too…
I have information that I’ve posted in various locations on the Internet from Facebook to Bees at Taro and Ti that I plan on consolidating here, plus much more info as I start going thru my logs and compiling them for public consumption. The goal is to promote natural beekeeping – as natural as we can while still harvesting honey – and to help new and old beekeepers alike not start or get off treatments and artificial feed altogether.
